Privacy Policy for Send to TV Quick
Effective Date: July 10, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how “Smartago LLC” (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with your use of the “Send to TV Quick” application (the “App”) and its associated web interface (the “Service”).
Your privacy is paramount to us. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your information and to complying with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)/California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) in the United States, and other relevant international regulations.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information primarily to facilitate the core functionality of the App and Service, which is the secure and temporary transfer of data between your devices.
a. Information You Provide Directly (User-Transmitted Content)
When you use “Send to TV Quick” to transfer data, you directly provide us with the content you wish to send. This may include:
- Text messages: Short notes, snippets of text, passwords, login credentials, or other textual information.
- URLs/Links: Web addresses.
- Files: Small files (up to 200KB), such as images, documents (e.g., PDFs, text files), or APKs.
Crucial Note: While our App does not explicitly request sensitive personal data like passwords or financial information, you may choose to transmit such data. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to send through the App and Service. We strongly advise against sending highly sensitive or confidential information.
b. Information Collected Automatically (Technical & Usage Data)
When you access or use the App and Service, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information to ensure functionality, security, and service improvement. This includes:
- IP Address: The Internet Protocol address of your sending and receiving devices. This is used for connection establishment and security purposes.
- Device ID: A unique, anonymous identifier generated for your device (e.g., a session ID or a non-persistent device identifier) to facilitate pairing and distinguish between active connections. This is not tied to your personal identity.
- Language Preference (Cookie): A cookie may be used on the web interface to remember your preferred language settings for the site.
- Technical Information: Browser type, operating system, device type (e.g., Android TV, mobile, PC), and approximate geographical location (derived from IP address, not precise GPS).
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App and Service, such as timestamps of connections, successful transfers, and feature usage. This data is aggregated and anonymized where possible.
- Crash Logs & Analytics: If the App encounters an error or crash, anonymized crash reports may be automatically sent to us (via Google’s standard crash reporting mechanisms if opted-in by your device settings) to help diagnose and fix issues. We may also use Google Analytics (with IP anonymization enabled) to collect aggregated, non-personally identifiable usage statistics to understand how our service is used and improve it.
c. App Permissions
The “Send to TV Quick” app requests the following permissions to provide its core functionality:
REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES
(for app installation): This permission is necessary to allow the app to download APK files that you send and to call the system’s built-in package installer. Our app will never install applications without explicit user consent. The purpose of using this permission is to provide a core feature on Android TV devices that lack a built-in web browser for downloading and installing files.
Our app requests this permission only when the user chooses to open an APK file, and its use is absolutely necessary to perform this action.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To Facilitate Data Transfer: The primary purpose is to enable the secure and temporary transmission of your text, URLs, and files between your sending and receiving devices.
- To Establish and Maintain Connection: To pair your devices using the unique codes and ensure a stable connection.
- To Ensure Service Functionality and Security: To monitor system performance, identify and prevent security threats, and ensure the reliable operation of the App and Service.
- To Improve and Optimize the App: To understand user behavior (through aggregated, anonymized data) and enhance the App’s features, performance, and user experience.
- For Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
Crucially, we do not process any user-transmitted content (text, URLs, files) for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the direct, temporary facilitation of your requested data transfer.
3. How We Store and Protect Your Information
We implement robust security measures to protect your information, especially given the nature of the data that users may choose to transmit.
- Encryption In Transit (SSL/TLS): All data transferred between your devices and our server, and within our server infrastructure, is protected using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. This ensures that your data is encrypted while it travels across networks.
- Encryption At Rest: All user-transmitted content (text, URLs, and files) that is temporarily stored on our server’s disk and in our database is encrypted at rest. This means the data is encrypted even when it is not actively being processed.
- Temporary Storage & Immediate Deletion:
- User-transmitted content is stored on our server only temporarily to facilitate the transfer to the receiving device.
- Upon successful delivery to the receiving device, all associated user-transmitted content is immediately and permanently deleted from our server.
- Timeout Deletion: If user-transmitted content is not successfully delivered to a receiving device within 24 hours from the time of sending, it is automatically and permanently deleted from our server.
- Access Control: Access to our servers and databases is strictly limited to authorized personnel only, on a need-to-know basis, and is protected by strong authentication and access control mechanisms.
- Anonymized Technical Data: Technical and usage data (IP addresses, device IDs, usage statistics) are retained for a limited period for operational and analytical purposes, and are anonymized or aggregated where possible to prevent identification of individual users.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We are committed to protecting your privacy and do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your user-transmitted content or personally identifiable information to third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes.
We may share technical or aggregated, anonymized usage data with third-party service providers (e.g., Google Analytics for website traffic analysis, crash reporting services) solely for the purpose of improving our App and Service. These providers are contractually bound to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which it was provided.
We may also disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal processes (e.g., court order, subpoena) or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the following rights regarding your information:
- Right to Access: You have the right to request confirmation of whether we process your data and to access any data we may hold about you. Given our temporary storage and “no registration” policy, this would primarily relate to any technical logs associated with your anonymous Device ID (UID) during its brief retention period.
- Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You have the right to request the deletion of your data. As user-transmitted content is automatically deleted after delivery or 24 hours, this right primarily applies to any persistent technical data we might hold about your anonymous Device ID.
- Right to Rectification: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to Restriction of Processing: You have the right to request that we limit the processing of your data under certain conditions.
- Right to Data Portability: You have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
- Right to Object: You have the right to object to the processing of your data under certain conditions.
To exercise any of these rights, including requests for access to or deletion of data associated with your anonymous Device ID (UID) please contact us at support@sendtotvquick.com. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable laws. Please note that due to our minimal data retention policy, certain data may no longer exist when you make a request.
6. International Data Transfers
Our servers may be located in European Union. If you are accessing the App or Service from outside the region where our servers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in those locations. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws by implementing appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, where necessary.
7. Children’s Privacy
“Send to TV Quick” is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information from our records promptly.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website and/or through a notice within the App. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
